Boogeyman!!! Or was that my shadow?

I'm sure many of you are waiting with baited breath to find out if I actually got to go running last night. Let me end your suspense now...No, I didn't. I have a list of excuses, but I won't bore you with those. Because like my wonderful husband used to say, "Excuses are like buttholes, everyone has them and they all stink." Nice I know, but hey it's the truth. I could have gone running last night after everyone went to bed, but I didn't. I did, however go this morning.

I went before the sun was up, when sane people are still in bed sleeping. By now, you may have realized that I am NOT a morning person. I want to be though. I try really hard not to bite everyone's head off in the morning just because I am cranky. A lesson that I am trying to teach my oldest. She is just like me, except with all the hormones and stuff.

So, you may want to know how this run actually went? Not to bad. I rolled out of bed, and stumbled out the door. I managed to get my Ipod and runkeeper on, and start on my way. I also remembered my flashlight. I took it so that I could see the ground and if any cars were out, they would see me. I have to say, I don't care for running in the dark. I kept thinking at any moment a vampire was going to jump out at me. What can I say? I'm a teenage girl at heart. Then I remembered that scary serial killers were real, vampires not so much. I was more likely to be raped and murdered than seduced by a creature of the night with a smoldering gaze.

I haven't seen anyone like this in my town, so I think I'm safe from vampires.

So, I didn't do too horribly bad. My runkeeper says that I finished 2 miles in 28.09 minutes. Not my fastest, but I did get out there and complete it. Which is good, and unexpected. My left shin is sore, but since I don't have Zumba today, that's fine.
